Adventures in Hexagons Blog Tour & Giveaway!

Welcome to Day 4 of the “Adventures in Hexagons” Blog Tour!  Clothworks is excited to promote our friend Emily Breclaw’s newest book, Adventures in Hexagons, released this year by C & T Publishing.   Emily, also known as the Caffeinated Quilter, has a passion for hexagon quilts!  Read about how her love affair with the hexagon quilt developed in her post on the C&T Publishing blog.

You may remember Emily from our American Made Brand License Plate Quilt Blog Tour a few years ago.   Emily was our Texas quilt blogger contributing a license plate block that captured the iconic Lone Star state flag with hexagons pieced to resemble the state flowers.

Emily’s passion for hexagon quilts continued to blossom through the years and now she has just published her first book filled with beautiful hexie quilt designs, clever techniques, and loads of inspiration! Clothworks is thrilled that 2 quilts included in Adventures in Hexagons were sampled using our Laurel Burch Basics.

AMB Mystery BOM Quilt: Correction to QOV Finishing Instructions

blog_final

Thank you to all the quilters out there who have been quilting along and sharing images of your finished blocks for the AMB Mystery Block of the Month Quilt called ‘Our Land’.  Now that the BOM series has completed, we’ve received some feedback on the quilt finishing portion.

For the Quilts of Valor version, a cutting error was found on the first page of the finishing instructions under QOV Border Stars. In the cutting instructions for the colors marked as ‘C’, please cut 2″ squares, not 2 ½” squares as previously listed.

We apologize for the inconvenience and frustration that this may have caused.

Follow this link for the updated Quilts of Valor finishing instructions.

The QOV finishing instructions have also been updated in the previous blog post here.

We’d love to see how you finish your AMB Mystery Quilt!  Please share pics of your finished quilts on Instagram with the tag #AMBMystery or email info at Clothworks dot com.
